We're getting close!  Here's me and James (we decided on a name!  After Rusty's dad:)! ) at 30 weeks along.  He is getting much bigger and his movements are strong enough to be visible to outside eyes now!

We have a lot to look forward to while we excitedly await James's arrival: two showers in the next month (one in CA and one in Tucson), our first orientation at the hospital today, and seeing the show Wicked in Phoenix with my family!!

The nursery has been our major home project lately, and it's starting to come along!  I'll post pictures when we have a bit more completed.  Until then, I hope everyone is well!  Happy January!

Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails

20 Weeks!

Happy Fall everyone!!! Autumn is definitely here, and we are loving it.  Temperatures finally dropped in Tucson, and it's starting to feel like the holiday season!  Rusty and I have had a fun few months.  We attended my sister's annual Halloween dinner party last week, tailgated and cheered on the fairly pitiful U of A football team this weekend with my coworkers, and this upcoming weekend brings Rusty's mom and dad to visit us!!!

 The MOST exciting event of the month was definitely our ultrasound appointment last week!!  We are having a baby BOY!!!!  We really had no idea what to expect and were just excited to have a BABY either way, but we now get to be excited about all the joys that will come with having a son!  Rusty's first words were "Maybe he'll like baseball".  Oy.

Here is a picture of our son!  If you're not good at deciphering the black and white blurs like me...this is an UPRIGHT profile where the baby is facing LEFT and opening his mouth for a big YAWN.  You can see the nose sticking out on the left and just below it the open mouth-hole.  If you still don't see it...just wait to see the real thing in a few months:).

Now that we know we are having a little boy, we started the massive registry process!  We registered at Babies R Us, and we are working on building the Target and Amazon lists, too.  Links are on the sidebar.

We are hoping to have a shower in Tucson in early February!  We can't wait to celebrate with everyone!

The Dodge

 Today, Rusty began a project that has been a long time coming - fixing up his classic truck!!  He has had this '55 Dodge pickup since high school, and his  parents have graciously stored it for him for over a decade.  He has been excited for the day he would begin restoring it at our home in Tucson, and today was the day!!

  

He and one of the junior high students from our church youth group worked on it all afternoon...along with more than half our neighborhood, who helped heave the truck up onto work blocks.  So far she's still not running, but getting closer!  The brakes are fixed as well as the clutch.  The truck just needs a working battery to get started at this point, and then it's onward from there!  In other news, the pregnancy is moving along well but slow right now!  We are excited for November 2nd, when we find out the gender of the baby!!  The next few weeks are full of fun events like a concert with my sister in Phoenix and Halloween party with family, so time will fly.  We'll keep you all updated soon!
