Honeymoon

Rusty and I returned from our honeymoon about two weeks ago and have been settling into life in Tucson! I guess this post is overdue, but it has taken a while to get all set up back in AZ!

For those who don't know, our honeymoon was a road trip to the Oregon coast. It was an amazing trip! We hit the road the day after the wedding and returned about 10 days later. Here are some photos from the journey:

We camped the first night in Zion National Park. It was gorgeous!

The second day was a LOT of driving. This captures Rusty's experience of the entire state of Idaho (in BOTH directions!)

We reached Oregon, which was completely beautiful.

While on the coast, we surfed and kayaked! Both were a blast.

We caught a 4th of July parade and fireworks even though we were on the road!

There's that crazy Idaho again...

We were able to stop in Flagstaff on the way home and enjoy some time with friends there for a few days before our final return to Tucson.

We returned to Tucson and hit the ground running! Rusty studied like MAD for a week and PASSED his two state board exams, so he is officially a PT and ready to start work on August 3rd. Please pray for him and for our marriage as we start to work. Our relationship has been strange in that all of last year, we hardly saw each other due to traveling, recently we have not spent a MINUTE apart because neither of us work, and now we will transition into regular working schedules and seeing each other much less again. At least once that happens, we will HAVE a normal schedule and some kind of regularity in life. It will be a positive change.

Now that Rusty has passed, it is MY turn to study like crazy and prepare for my boards in about three weeks. We're making time for enjoyment as well. My sister and best friend just came for a visit this week, and this weekend we are heading up to Phoenix to boat on Canyon Lake and celebrate my sister's masters degree graduation!

I also get to see the musical, Wicked, with my sister and friends! Rusty is equally excited to sit around and play video games with my brother in law while we see the show. Boys.
