Second Trimester!

We're moving right along into the second trimester now!  Things seem to have smoothed out a bit now. Morning sickness is over!  Some tests to determine congenital risks for the baby have come back negative, thank the Lord!  And I have started some new meds to control my thyroid, which I'm hoping will be healthier on my next checkup!  The specialist diagnosed me with Hashimoto's autoimmune disease, for which I had been seeking answers long before I was pregnant but had been disregarded by the medical system before now.   I am thankful I was referred to a great specialist who can finally help with that!  I am also thankful to have a break from being at some doctor's office at least once every week in the month of October!
September has been a fun month for us even with all the craziness of medical visits.  We went to our first U of A football game last weekend and had great seats thanks to one of Rusty's patients with season tickets!  We had a great time even though the Wildcats got trampled by Stanford.  I was with my husband, and there were nachos, ok?  I don't care who wins.  Below is what I believe to be the ONLY picture of Rusty and me in 2011.  We gotta get better at that:).  To the right, clearly, is a picture of Baby Foxe at 14 weeks!!!!  We made an appointment on November 2nd to find out if the baby is a boy or girl, so stay tuned for that news!!  Until then, have a blessed October!  Love you guys!

Growing Family!

Surprise!!  Our family of two (three if you count our cat, Jasper...and we do) is about to become one bigger!!  We're having a baby!!

How's that for my first post in 6 months?  Hopefully, now I'll be better about keeping up to date with this blog so you all can stay in touch with what's happening in our life!!

Our due date is March 17, 2012 - St. Patrick's Day!  So far, I've felt pretty well and everything is going smoothly.  I think I've eaten a dozen whole boxes of Kraft Mac and Cheese (the spongebob shape kind if anyone was wondering), and besides that I'm fairly certain that all I do is sleep.  Rusty is taking great care of me.

We had our first ultrasound two weeks ago, and I'll have another this week.  We still have about a 6 week wait ahead of us before learning if we'll have a boy or girl...after which I'll immediately morph into the nursery-designing-nut that I am currently suppressing deep inside.   We are pretty excited for our little Foxe to join the family.

I hope this post finds all of you well, and I'll try to post some pictures of us soon as well as the new ultrasound this week!

Much love to all our friends and family!

Catching up

Ok, after months and months of failure NOT posting anything, I am going to attempt to return to keeping all our out of town family and friends at least a LITTLE up to date with our life!  Here is the summer/fall/winter review:

1. We went to a lot of D backs games to finish the summer, including this awesome company outing with my office...RIGHT behind the plate!!!  All you can eat food FREE and a sweet view of the game with my coworkers.  Lots of fun.

 2. We moved to a new house!  It's just a few minutes from the rental townhome we were in, but it is a definite upgrade!!!  It has two stories, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a ginormous backyard that we LOVE, and it is conveniently close to excellent places like Sabino Canyon, hiking trails, and our friends, The Masons, house;).  We both felt at home instantly here, and we plan to be in this place a long time.
3. Halloween: carved pumpkins with some of our FAVORITE people in the world, Jenny and Ben Scott.  We've had some great visitors so far in the new place and hope that they keep coming:)!
 4. Stupid javelinas ate our pumpkins the next day.
 5. Thanksgiving at our house!  My parents and Aunt Kathy joined Rusty and me at our house this year.  The week before Rusty's parents came for a visit...but I failed at taking any pictures to prove that fact.  We had a great time with them nonetheless:).
6. Rusty decorated our house for Christmas this week.  I asked him to make it look like Dr. Suess's house on Christmas.  Success.

7. Rusty and Joe put up our new backboard so we can play basketball in our backyard without accidentally ingesting fiberglass microshards!  Thanks, guys.

And that's the fall in review.

In three weeks, Rusty and I head to California for Christmas and skiing in Tahoe with Rusty's family for the New Year!!  Pictures and posts to come.  I hope:).
